  • Renewed Strength for the Weary Heart: Isaiah 40:31

When You Feel Empty There are days when we feel empty. Days when it's easier to stay in bed all day, eat ice cream, and binge Netflix. Our once full bucket of strength feels poured out. Each step we take feels heavier than the last. These days are hard to manage. It’s hard to feel God’s presence when life is pressing in from all sides, but God always has something beautiful to remind us of His nearness. Sometimes it’s through the chirp of a cardinal, but other times it's through an eagle. Isaiah 40:31 is one of those eagle reminders. When God Renews Our Strength When we put our trust in the Lord, when we wait in prayer, we won’t stay pressed down and weary. In time, we will rise. God will renew us as eagles that soar high above the clouds. Too often we rely on our own strength. True strength does not come from our will or from pushing ourselves harder. Our strength comes from leaning into God and letting Him lift us with His grace. A Word of Encouragement Friend, if you feel tired today, lean into God’s safe embrace. He will renew your strength, fill you with fresh hope, and shower you with grace. A Prayer for Strength Father, thank You for the strength we receive at Your feet. I’m sorry for the times we try to stand strong in our own strength. We are strong-willed when we need to let go. Please help us to lay everything in Your hands and trust You fully. Renew us with Your strength, fill us with Your grace, and shield us with Your wings. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Reflection Questions Friend, what area of your life feels the heaviest right now? Do you know how to bring it to God in prayer? Are you leaning into your own strength instead of leaning into God’s grace? Has it been a long time since you felt God renew your strength? Has God been inviting you to lay the weight you’re carrying in His hands? Takeaway Truth Your strength does not come because of who you are; your strength is renewed because of who He is. A Gentle Invitation Please don’t carry this all alone. Reach out in prayer. Your Father loves you, and He is waiting to hear your voice. Also, email your request, and I will pray for you too. God will be in the midst of those who pray together. Continue Your Journey in Prayer This prayer is just a starting point. Prayers for Healing From Anxiety Christian sister, are you battling anxiety? Does fear have his hooks in you? You are not alone. I have been on this battlefield too. Below is a powerful prayer for you to pray to finally break free of this demon. If you haven’t read my devotion on Ask, Seek, Knock , you can find it here as a deeper guide to growing your prayer life. God tells us to run boldly to His throne of grace to find help in ALL our times of need. We can never wear out our welcome in the throne room. Pray this with me today according to God’s beautiful promise: “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”    (Matthew 18:20) God is with us as we pray for your healing today. A Prayer for Healing From Anxiety Heavenly Father, thank You for the many examples of healing in Your Word. As I lift my heart in prayer today, I bring prayers for healing of anxiety to lay at Your feet. I know You are always waiting, always listening for my voice to break the silence of my suffering. I am continually in Your view. Father, I have the blessed promise from Hebrews 13:5 — “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” — to stand on today. I need Your help. I cannot overcome this on my own. If anyone knows, You know I have tried. Father, please calm this anxious heart. My mind is going in so many directions; I need it to focus on the truth of Scripture. I need to focus on You, the Great Physician. I need to trust the Holy Spirit to rise within me and comfort my racing heart. Fear feels so powerful, but I know You are greater. Father, I give You control of my life. Please give me courage to rise above fear, anxiety, and self‑destructive thoughts. I pray to walk out of this darkness with a testimony of deliverance. Tell my weary heart to beat in rhythm with Yours. Tell my lungs to breathe in Your grace and trust You fully. Remove this fear and replace it with confidence. Go to those places where fear has taken root and pull it up completely. Cast it into the fiery furnace. Break this cycle for good. One step at a time, I will overcome and walk into the beautiful future You have planned for me. On this side of this trial I will praise You; on the other side I will praise You. Every day, I will praise You. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen. CONTINUE YOUR JOURNEY IN PRAYER This prayer is just a starting point. • At His Feet: Ruth’s Obedience to God in the Unknown

When Stepping Out in Faith Feels Impossible Christian sister, are you struggling to pull up the courage to step out in faith? Does your future feel like it's stuck in limbo? What situation are you struggling to trust God through? If you haven’t read my devotion on Ask, Seek, Knock , you can find it here as a companion to this message. Today we will look at the depth of Ruth’s trust in her mother-in-law and in the God who changed her eternity. Ruth stood in the face of uncertainty and walked into an unknown future with more courage than I would have had. Ruth’s Story: Sorrow, Loyalty, and a New Beginning The story of Ruth’s life is one of the saddest yet most beautiful in the Bible. Her journey started with deep sorrow but ended with great triumph. Now we will focus on the threshingfloor and Ruth's obedience. In Ruth chapter three Naomi, Ruth’s mother-in-law, says, “My daughter, shall I not seek rest for thee, that it may be well with thee?” This statement is filled with much love and care. “My daughter” shows a closeness that had grown through the years between these two women. Most likely the reason Ruth trusted the instruction without hesitation that Naomi gave. Naomi tells Ruth to “Wash thyself therefore, and anoint thee, and put thy raiment upon thee, and get thee down to the floor: but make not thyself known unto the man, until he shall have done eating and drinking. And it shall be, when he lieth down, that thou shalt mark the place where he shall lie, and thou shalt go in, and uncover his feet, and lay thee down; and he will tell thee what thou shalt do.” ‭‭Ruth‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬–‭4‬ Ruth’s Beautiful Obedience to God Ruth responds with the most beautiful expression of obedience. “And she said unto her, All that thou sayest unto me I will do. And she went down unto the floor, and did according to all that her mother in law bade her. And when Boaz had eaten and drunk, and his heart was merry, he went to lie down at the end of the heap of corn: and she came softly, and uncovered his feet, and laid her down.” ‭‭Ruth‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬–‭7‬ This level of obedience to God is never easy. A moment like this in one's life requires us to trust God fully and walk toward something we cannot see while remembering He sees all. I can't imagine how heavy this moment must have been for Ruth. I often think about the thoughts that must have been running through Ruth’s head as she made her way to the threshingfloor that day, but Ruth did exactly as Naomi instructed her to do. These actions were full of care and respect for her mother-in-law. Facing the Unknown With Faith The uncertainty in this step would have caused a cascade of emotions for anyone. No doubt, Ruth was faced with overwhelming fear of an unknown future. She had no idea how Boaz would choose to respond to this bold act when he found her at his feet. Yet, she was obedient, faithful, and true to her word. “And she lay at his feet until the morning: and she rose up before one could know another. And he said, Let it not be known that a woman came into the floor. Also he said, Bring the vail that thou hast upon thee, and hold it. And when she held it, he measured six measures of barley, and laid it on her: and she went into the city. And when she came to her mother in law, she said, Who art thou, my daughter? And she told her all that the man had done to her. And she said, These six measures of barley gave he me; for he said to me, Go not empty unto thy mother in law. Then said she, Sit still, my daughter, until thou know how the matter will fall: for the man will not be in rest, until he have finished the thing this day.” ‭‭Ruth‬ ‭3‬:‭14‬–‭18‬ What Ruth Found at Boaz’s Feet What Ruth found at Boaz’ feet changed her life. She found kindness and concern:  “Let it not be known that a woman came to the floor.” She found provision and hope:  “Bring the veil that thou hast upon thee, and hold it… he measured six measures of barley.” She found blessing and grace:  “And her mother in law… blessed her, saying, Blessed be thou of the LORD.” She found the endearment of a mother:  “my daughter.” The Blessing That Follows Obedience to God The doors of Ruth’s future opened because of her obedience and trust she had in the God of her mother-in-law. The final outcome was still to be revealed, but Ruth and Naomi left the results in God’s trustworthy hands. They leave us with the beautiful example of trust, obedience, surrender, and continuing faith. I picture Ruth lying on her bed, staring at the ceiling of the humble room she had grown to call home. The events of her life rolled over in her mind as she waited for the God of her mother-in-law to respond. Eyes wide open, sleep far in the distant hours that lay ahead. What Do You Need to Lay at Jesus’ Feet? We all have something big or small we need to take to Jesus’ feet. Mine is sickness, what is yours. Today we can do as Ruth did. No more procrastinating. No more excuses. Just obedience to God, surrender, and faith in the one true God who holds our future in His blessed hands. CONTINUE YOUR JOURNEY IN PRAYER This prayer is just a starting point. • A Praying Wife’s Beginning: My Journey Into Prayer

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Genesis 1:1 A Praying Wife’s Beginning: My Journey Into Prayer Everything has a beginning. In the beginning God created everything, just as He created a life of intercession in me. Friend, does your beginning look similar? My beginning was not an immediate love for prayer. My prayer life was anything but great. No, it was desperation. Sure I prayed in the beginning of my walk with God, but I did not have a love for prayer as I do now. Faith During Trials Life changed me. God allowed me to walk through some trials that shook me to my core. I have spoken with many women going through trials that wonder why God allowed such a thing to come into their life. Friend, I can tell you with all assurance I would not be who or where I am today if not for the trials God allowed along the way. How to pray In the Secret Place Early on I knew prayer was talking to God, but what I did not realize was the blessing, and power that came with these moments. It took me quite awhile to realize that each time I bowed my head to pray I was entering into the presence of a holy God, the God of creation who had accepted me as His own. "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." Psalm 91:1 Time spent in the secret place of the Most High is so special. In the beginning I took this time for granted. I wish I could say I didn't, but unfortunately I did. It is often during hard seasons that we seem to seek God more earnestly.  Early on God graciously saved my girls, but it was through praying for my husband that everything changed. I began the journey of learning how to be a praying wife. I must admit, early in my walk with God, I was very selfish. The moment I accepted Jesus into my heart my life had changed from night to day. However, there were things I needed to let go of—things God let me know weren't good for my life—but I was a strong-willed child. The things I held onto were the things I later regretted. "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17 I had accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, but I didn't realize the things I didn't want to let go of were stunting my growth, costing me blessings, and hurting my family. My beginning wasn't perfect, but God worked perfectly through my beginning. Molded In the Potter’s Hands God has worked with the clay of my life through the years and is still shaping me today. The things I let go of allowed God to open doors of blessings I never imagined. Friend, are you holding onto something God has clearly told you to let go of? Please don't be like me! Let it go right now. God has so many blessings waiting to fill its place. Trust Him fully. You won't regret it. My prayer journey, as with many others, was birthed from a place of desperation, but the relationship with God that has grown from it has been worth every mile of this journey. Choosing a life of prayer is not an easy life to choose but it holds eternal rewards in every page. Everyone has A Beginning Friend, have you found yourself at the beginning of your prayer journey? Don't lose heart. God did not give up on me; He will not give up on you. Press into the secret place of prayer and find your place at Jesus' feet. • He Is Risen: A Powerful Easter Devotional on Prayer from Matthew 28:2–6

Standing Before the Empty Tomb Today we stand before the tomb where Jesus laid. In this blessed scripture we see the powerful hand of God in action. We see divine promise fulfilled and we see the wonder of heaven revealed. Scripture: Matthew 28:2–6 “And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: and for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭ 2‬-‭6‬ ‭ Why This Passage Matters Matthew 28:2-6 is one of my favorite verses of scripture. There are so many beautiful things packed into this text but today prayer is my focus. If you haven’t read my devotion on Ask, Seek, Knock , you can find it here as a companion to this message. What We See in This Resurrection Moment We see the sign that drew attention, the earthquake. We see the angel of the Lord descend from heaven. We see the impact this arrival had on the keepers. We see the message that is given. He is risen. Prayer Woven Into the Resurrection Story Glory pours forth from heaven and opens up the pages of prayer. Heaven crashes to earth and the door swings open. Prayer is woven throughout the layers of this text. It is a quiet but powerful example of prayer for us today. “He says unto the women… I know that ye seek Jesus.” Prayer is seeking our heavenly Father who has the answers stored in His home in heaven. Mary Magdalene’s Example of Seeking Jesus This woman, Mary Magdalene, went looking for Jesus. She sought the one who had changed her eternity. There at the tomb she found the stone rolled away and the answer to the question on her heart sat before her. She sought with all her heart, God sent the answer in an earth shaking way. In a way that would grab and hold her attention. “Fear not.” the angel cried. “He is risen.” A Call to Seek Jesus in Prayer We must do as Mary did. Seek Jesus with all our heart. Keep pressing upward in prayer until the answer comes down in a life altering way. I can imagine the look on Mary's face that day. It doesn’t get more clear than the earth shaking and an angel of the Lord sitting before you. Jesus Is Risen and Interceding for Us Jesus has risen. He is in glory at the right hand of the Father interceding on our behalf day and night. Don’t waste another minute worrying about the things you can’t control. Take everything to Jesus. He never stops praying, never stops speaking to God on our behalf. There is nothing too big or too small for prayer. If it is important to us, it is important to God. Keep Seeking Until the Answer Comes Seek Jesus today. He will send His messengers to respond to your prayers. Keep seeking until the answer arrives. It may not show up exactly how you expect it to but it will surely show up. God always answers in His time, in His way. Closing Prayer Father, Easter is right around the corner. Each year we have the opportunity to remember Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection. We also have this opportunity to see this beautiful structure of prayer that Jesus wove into this text. I pray this Matthew 28:2-6 devotion stirs up a heart of prayer and devotion for the reader. Father, thank You for all the help You give, even when we may not see it right away. I pray to seek You with all that is within me. Draw nigh to me so I can draw nigh to Thee. In Jesus’ name, Amen. A Love Like No Other In the devotion “A Love Like No Other” in my book His Name Is Jesus , you will discover that falling is not always falling. Falling in love with the Savior of the world is the greatest falling we will ever experience. Have you experienced this wonderful transformation? If not, I pray you do today. The gift of salvation awaits anyone willing to accept it. CONTINUE YOUR JOURNEY IN PRAYER This post is just a starting point. • “Ask, Seek, Knock: What Matthew 7:7 Really Means and How to Pray Boldly”

Today you will discover the blessing of ask, seek, and knock. This is one of the greatest scriptures in my journey of prayer. Understanding the ask seek knock meaning helps us see how Jesus invites us into deeper, faith‑filled prayer. “If you’ve been praying and waiting for answers, Matthew 7:7–8 holds a powerful promise. In this post, you’ll learn what Jesus meant by ‘ask, seek, knock,’ how to pray boldly, and how God responds to persistent prayer.” What “Ask, Seek, Knock” Really Means (Matthew 7:7 Explained) “ Ask , and it shall be given you; seek , and ye shall find; knock , and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” Matthew 7:7–8 Have you ever stopped to think about what God can truly do through ask, seek, and knock prayer? How to Pray Boldly When You Need God’s Help We have several beautiful promises from God’s Word in Hebrews 4:16 that says,“ Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Do you see them? They are wonderful, powerful promises that link back to Matthew 7:7–8. What? Come boldly. Where? To the throne of grace. Why? To obtain mercy. What will we find? Grace and help. When? In time of need. Ask, Seek, Knock: How Each Step Works in Prayer In Matthew 7:7–8, we are told to ask, seek, and knock. How to Pray Using Ask, Seek, Knock Ask:  Tell God your need Seek:  Look for His presence and guidance Knock:  Persist in prayer and trust His timing To ask is putting voice to the need. The gift is the answer that comes in response to the need. To seek is recognizing who holds the answer that will satisfy the need: God, our Heavenly Father. To knock is realizing whose door we are asking to be admitted through. This is our Heavenly Father’s house. The house where every answer is stored. THE STOREHOUSE OF HEAVEN In Malachi 3:10, God shows us the vast provision that He has waiting for His children. “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” The Father’s house is filled to overflowing with the answers to every need we will ever have on this earth. The answers do not always come as we expect them to, but God will always send an answer that is rich in blessing from the goodness of His heart. PRAYER FOR TODAY Ask, seek, and knock on the door of God's heart. God is waiting to hear from you. He will bow His ear to your voice the moment you cry out. Press that truth into your heart right now. You do not have to wait another moment. He has proven Himself faithful time and again. If you need healing, faith, strength, or peace today, His grace is sufficient to cover every need. Father, teach me to pray as you have instructed in Your word. Teach me to ask with faith, seek with trust, and knock with perseverance. Help me come boldly before Your throne, believing that You hear and answer in Your perfect timing. In Jesus' name, Amen. THE GREATEST GIFT In the devotion “The Greatest Gift” in my book His Name Is Jesus , I speak of giving gifts to others. The answers that God sends down in response to our prayers are gifts from the Father’s house of blessing. As wonderful as these gifts can be, in this devotion I tell of a gift that is more valuable than any other in this world. It is the gift of salvation. When this need is sent to the Father, He immediately responds. He opens the windows of heaven and pours you out a blessing so big it changes your whole life. • Praying Through Anxiety: A Free Guided Prayer Calendar

Praying Through Anxiety – A free guided prayer calendar designed to help you bring your worries to the Lord and find peace through daily prayer. Anxiety has a quiet way of creeping into our lives. Sometimes it arrives suddenly through a difficult situation. Other times it slowly builds through uncertainty, fear of the future, or burdens that feel too heavy to carry. Our minds begin to race with questions, our hearts feel unsettled, and peace can seem far away. Yet Scripture reminds us that anxiety was never meant to be carried alone. God invites us to bring every worry, every fear, and every uncertain thought directly to Him. Prayer is not simply a spiritual habit; it is the doorway through which we exchange our worry for God's peace. Anxiety can affect every area of life, including our marriages. If you would like a focused way to pray specifically for your husband and your relationship together, you may also enjoy this Praying for My Husband Guided Prayer Calendar . God's Promise for Anxious Hearts Philippians 4:6–7 gives us a powerful reminder: “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Notice that the promise of peace comes after prayer. When we bring our anxious thoughts to the Lord, something begins to shift. The situation around us may not immediately change, but our hearts begin to settle as God guards our minds with His peace. Prayer redirects our focus from fear to faith. Praying Through Anxiety With Daily Prayer Sometimes the hardest part of prayer is simply knowing where to begin. When anxiety is heavy, even forming words can feel difficult. That is why guided prayer can be so helpful. It gently directs our thoughts back toward truth and helps us focus on God's promises instead of our fears. Prayer invites us to slow down and remember that God is present in every moment. He sees the burdens we carry. He understands the worries we struggle with. and He is faithful to bring peace when we bring those worries to Him. A Prayer Guide for Difficult Moments To help you walk through this process, I created a free guided prayer calendar called Praying Through Anxiety . This printable calendar provides a daily prayer focus designed to help you: • surrender anxious thoughts • trust God's care and timing • quiet your heart before the Lord • remember His promises • replace fear with faith Each day gently leads you back into God's presence through intentional prayer. Finding Peace in God's Presence The goal of this prayer calendar is not perfection. It is simply to help you return to God again and again. Over time, prayer reshapes our perspective. Fear slowly loosens its grip, and peace begins to grow where worry once lived. God does not promise that life will always be easy, but He does promise that His peace will guard our hearts when we bring our burdens to Him. Marriage is one of the greatest gifts God gives us, but it is also one of the places where we often need the most grace, patience, and prayer. Daily responsibilities, stress, misunderstandings, and the pressures of life can slowly pull couples apart if we are not intentional about seeking the Lord together. Prayer is one of the most powerful ways to strengthen your marriage. When we bring our spouse and our relationship before the Lord, we invite God into the center of our home. • A Prayer for Anxiety from Philippians 4:6–7

Friend, are you struggling with anxiety? Today We Remember God’s Truth • Philippians can help. • God has the answers you seek. • Praying from scripture anchors our hearts in truth. • Today we will lift His Word in prayer. • Scripture is a reminder of the beautiful promises of His faithfulness. Below you will find scripture that has helped me and a prayer to help guide you as you draw nigh to God. Scripture for Anxious Hearts Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6–7 A Prayer for Anxiety Heavenly Father, thank You for another beautiful day in Your grace. The sun is shining through the trees today, but every day is not like today. Some days are overcast. Clouds cover the sun and its warmth isn’t as strong as on a sunny day like today. Anxiety can be the same way. Some good days, some bad days. On the bad days it is hard to see the light of grace through the clouds. There are worse days that tears stream down our cheeks like rain. Father, it is on these days that we need You to press through the darkness and shine the light of Your countenance upon us. The days when the clouds are so thick a chill runs down our spine. These are the days we need You to send extra help to remind us to pray through the fear that grips our heart. The days we need a trusted friend to take us by the hand and reach through the barrier to the throne room on our behalf. These are the days we need extra grace. Father, I pray for each one who is trapped in this terrible place today. I pray they feel the prayers of Your children crying out on their behalf as I am today. I pray for Your sweet peace to surround them, fill their ears and minds with the whispers of glory, and stomp out the devil’s fire raging against them. Grant them strength to fight the right way, through prayer and praise. When our hearts are set on You, when our eyes are aimed upward, our whole perspective changes. Father, thank You for never leaving us nor forsaking us, especially in these times of despair. In Jesus’ name, Amen. • Creating a Sacred Prayer Space: Inspiring Ideas and Essential Resources for Deepening Your Faith

Prayer is a powerful way to connect with God, but sometimes our busy lives make it hard to focus and truly enter into that sacred conversation. I found that having a dedicated prayer space helps me quiet my heart, empty myself of self, and be filled with the Holy Spirit. If you are a Christian woman seeking to deepen your prayer life, creating a prayer space with meaningful elements can transform your time with God. In this post, I will share practical prayer board ideas and essential resources that have enriched my journey, including treasured books by E. M. Bounds, Andrew Murray, and C. H. Spurgeon, as well as the King James Version of the Bible. Designing Your Prayer Space with Purpose A prayer space should invite you to pause, reflect, and open your heart to God. It doesn’t need to be large or elaborate—what matters most is that it feels sacred and personal. Here are some ideas to help you create a prayer space that nurtures your spirit: Choose a quiet corner or nook in your home where distractions are minimal. This could be a small table by a window, a comfy chair with a soft throw, or even a spot on the floor with cushions. Add a prayer board to visually organize your prayers and scripture. Use a corkboard, whiteboard, or framed chalkboard where you can pin prayer requests, Bible verses, or devotional notes. This keeps your prayers tangible and focused. Include a prayer journal to write down your thoughts, prayers, and reflections. Journaling helps you track spiritual growth and hear God’s voice more clearly. Display meaningful devotional books and Bibles within reach. I use the King James Version because its poetic language helps me meditate deeply on God’s Word. Use soft lighting like a lamp or candle to create a warm, inviting atmosphere that encourages stillness. Prayer Board Ideas to Inspire Your Heart A prayer board can be a powerful tool in your prayer space. It serves as a visual reminder of your conversations with God and the needs you carry before Him. Here are some prayer board ideas I have found helpful: Sections for different types of prayers : Divide your board into areas for praise, confession, thanksgiving, and intercession. This structure helps balance your prayers and keeps your heart aligned with God’s will. Scripture verses for meditation : Pin verses that speak to your current season or struggles. For example, Psalm 51:10 from the King James Version, “Create in me a clean heart, O God,” is a beautiful verse for repentance and renewal. Answered prayers section : Celebrate God’s faithfulness by moving answered prayers to a special spot. This encourages gratitude and strengthens your faith. Prayer requests from others : Include requests from family, friends, or your church community. Praying for others connects you to the body of Christ and expands your spiritual impact. Inspirational quotes from Christian authors : Add quotes from E. M. Bounds, Andrew Murray, or C. H. Spurgeon to inspire perseverance and deepen your understanding of prayer. Essential Books to Guide Your Prayer Life Reading the works of seasoned Christian writers has profoundly shaped my prayer journey. Here are some books I recommend keeping in your prayer space: E. M. Bounds – Power Through Prayer Bounds emphasizes the necessity of persistent, fervent prayer. His writing challenges us to empty ourselves of self-will and be filled with the Holy Spirit’s power. Andrew Murray – With Christ in the School of Prayer Murray’s devotional style invites readers to learn from Jesus’ example and cultivate a prayer life rooted in humility and dependence on God. C. H. Spurgeon – The Secret of a Happy Life Spurgeon’s reflections encourage joy and peace through intimate communion with God, reminding us that prayer is a delight, not a duty. These books are treasures for Christian women who want to grow in faith and intimacy with God. Reading a chapter or two during your prayer time can provide fresh insights and encouragement. Embracing the Spirit in Your Prayer Time Creating a prayer space and using resources are important, but the heart of prayer is surrender. Emptying ourselves of self means setting aside distractions, doubts, and pride so the Holy Spirit can fill us and guide our prayers. I find it helpful to begin each prayer session with a moment of silence, asking God to cleanse my heart and fill me anew. The King James Version of the Bible has been a steady companion in this process. Its timeless language invites reverence and reflection. Verses like Romans 8:26 remind me that the Spirit helps us in our weakness, interceding when words fail. Practical Tips for Maintaining Your Prayer Space To keep your prayer space inviting and effective, consider these tips: Refresh your prayer board regularly to reflect new prayers and remove answered ones. Keep your journal nearby and write freely without judgment. Set a consistent time daily to use your prayer space, making it a habit. Pray aloud or silently depending on what helps you focus. Invite the Holy Spirit at the start of each session to guide your thoughts and prayers. Encouragement for Christian Women Seeking Deeper Prayer Building a prayer space is a beautiful step toward deepening your relationship with God. It creates a physical and spiritual environment where you can empty yourself of distractions and be filled with the Holy Spirit’s presence. Using prayer board ideas, treasured devotional books, and the King James Bible can enrich your prayer life and help you grow in faith.
